Hong Kong, China (April 10 –April 21): Founded in 1976, this event is Asia’s oldest international film festival, annually screening over 200 titles from more than 50 countries in approximately 10 major cultural venues. The competition has two sections, Chinese Language films and World Films, and is part of a larger event called Entertainment Expo 2025, an international film market.

Cannes, France (May 13 – 24): Cannes hosts what is considered to be the most anticipated and prestigious film festival of the year. Brussels, Belgium (June 20 to June 28): This international exhibition, 8 years in the running, transforms the city into an international film capital in the heart of Europe as it showcases work from around the globe in cinemas throughout the city.

Venice, Italy (August 27 - September 6): This iconic festival, now in its 82nd year, is an annual gathering that celebrates international cinema and the great film artists of our time. It is a magical seaside experience hosted on Lido Island in Venice, centered around the Palazzo del Cinema, 10 days of meetings with filmmakers and actors, and all- night parties and festivities.
Telluride, Colorado (August 29 - September 1): An annual Labor Day weekend event in the heart of this stunning Colorado mountain town, this film festival features great new films and celebrates the entire community of filmmakers and artists. It does not award any movies; there is no competition. The weekend is about passion, and accomplishment, often featuring candid discussions with outstanding film creators.

Toronto, Canada (September 4 – 14): For almost 50 years, Toronto has held one of the world's largest film festivals. It is North America’s largest, screening films from all over the world, and one of the most publicly attended, and most publicized.
January 2026
Salt Lake City & Park City, Utah (January 22 – February 1): This annual event spotlights independent films, documentaries, and short films, as well as other experiences including virtual reality displays and live performances. 2026 marks the final year that this esteemed festival will take place in Utah before it moves to Boulder, Colorado the following year.
